Billing sequence: customer service tariff → Main Tariff fallback → ZIP Area key → rate basis. For weight tariffs the billable weight is the greater of actual or dimensional weight. Customer discount is applied before fuel; fuel, special-service charges and accessorials are then added.

Templates set the correct service/rating method. You still choose the ZIP Area column and enter your actual rates.
Fallback when customer/service has no tariff selected.
This connects the tariff directly to the selected ZIP master Area assignment.
CWT uses the greater of actual or DIM weight. Box/pallet/piece tariffs require that shipment count.
Use the table/grid button after saving to enter the protected Area rates. That rate editor can build the area rows directly from the selected ZIP Area column so the tariff keys match the routing data.
